Popkomm

Popkomm is one of the largest international meeting places of the branch. Whilst the focus lies on Germany and Europe Popkomm is attracting exhibitors e.g. from the USA, Australia and South America. Eastern European Countries are drawn to Berlin, confirming its position as the 'Gateway to the East'. Popkomm is business oriented and offers a communicative and compact presentation area to key player within the digital and analog music industry, live bizz, delegates of the country stands etc.

The Popkomm conference focuses on key music industry issues. Besides well-known speakers, music industry experts and decision makers Popkomm offers panels, discussions, lectures and presentations. In 2011 Popkomm introduced the format 'Popkomm Media_Gate' to the conference program for the first time. This format focuses on digital music industry topics.

The Popkomm Showcase is the live music segment of Popkomm. Bands and artists have the opportunity to perform in front of decision makers and important media people. Popkomm also places a selected number of artists oh the Berlin Festival, taking place at the airfield at Berlin - Tempelhof.
